Between 1987 and 1990, prior to commencing his legal studies, Damian worked as a taxation consultant and business advisor within a firm of chartered accountants.
Since being admitted to practice law in South Australia Damian has worked as a solicitor and barrister and has developed a number of areas of practice. Between 1995 and 1996 he specialised in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and, in particular, personal injury, trade practices and general insurance.
In 1998 Damian was appointed as a Senior Associate with an Adelaide law firm, in the area of banking, finance and insolvency directing large scale litigation on behalf of liquidators. In 2006 he was made Partner with Norman Waterhouse Lawyers.
Although he continues to practice in the field of general commercial litigation, he specialises in advising liquidators, administrators, trustees and receivers, secured and non-secured creditors and debtors in corporate insolvency and bankruptcy matters and litigation arising therefrom.
He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners
Association of Australia having completed with distinction his tertiary qualifications
in 2002.
He is also a specialist in defamation law and advises a number of leading corporations
and local government authorities.
