General capability and experience
Felice D’Agostino has over 10 years experience assisting and providing advice to local authorities on a wide variety of matters involving statutory interpretation, administrative law, governance, public administration, freedom of information, and regulatory and enforcement.
Areas of Specialty:
- Statutory advice and interpretation relating to matters affecting local government including roles, responsibilities and duties of local authorities
- Advice in relation to governance and public administration including meeting procedures, confidentiality, conflict of interest and members’ duties
- Conducting investigations into conduct issues including allegations of impropriety and breaches of statutory duty
- Freedom of Information advice, determinations and external review reports to the Ombudsman
- Preparation of charters for council subsidiaries and advice on powers, functions and duties of council subsidiaries
- Undertaking legislative compliance and due diligence audits
- Regulatory and enforcement advice including by-laws, expiation notices and other statutory notices
- Drafting and advising on delegations and authorisations
