General capability and experience
Johanna is a Partner in our Corporate and Commercial team and advises a wide range of clients, both national and international, on a wide range of matters. In addition to her skills as a general commercial practitioner, she has a specific interest and expertise in the areas of business succession, corporate governance and securities regulation and the not for profit sector.
Personal strengths/achievements
Johanna’s experience and expertise include the following:
- conducting various professional training sessions on risk management, compliance and business ethics for the Financial Services Institute of Australasia
- guest lecturing on “Conducting Commercial Transactions” to students of Flinders University Practical Legal Training Programme
- conducting a number of seminars on commercial transactions and due diligence on behalf of the Law Society of South Australia
- completing a Masters Degree in law at the University of Melbourne specialising in corporate law, finance and security documentations and intellectual property
- completing a Bachelor of Economics Degree and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Adelaide
- graduating from the Company Directors Course conducted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the University of New England
- previously tutoring in company law at Flinders University Department of Commerce
- currently Board Member and Vice President of the Board of Management of the Spastic Centres of South Australia Inc
- previously served on the Board of Management of the Bedford Industries Foundation, Siblings Australia Inc and Australian Health Industry Inc
