Nick is a Senior Associate in the firm's employment team in Adelaide.
Nick also advises in resources and native title law.
Nick understands that the main interest of his clients is the effective management and growth of their businesses. Nick targets his advice to prioritise the importance of these commercial realities and commercial outcomes. This enables Nick’s clients to find lateral and creative solutions to their problems, often allowing them to turn, what at first seem to be problems, into opportunities for future development.
Nick has a comprehensive knowledge of all areas of employment law. Nick has practised extensively in industrial litigation. Nick has conducted litigation in various Courts and Tribunals including; the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, The Magistrates Court of South Australia, The District Court of South Australia, The Federal Court of Australia, The Supreme Court of South Australia and The High Court of Australia.
Nick has a comprehensive understanding of employee relations and different workplace cultures in various industries such as; Local Government, Oil and Gas, General Manufacturing, Automotive Manufacturing, Community and Religious Groups and Primary Industry. Nick understands the effect that these workplace cultures often have on industrial matters and can advise accordingly.
