General capability
Philip joined Norman Waterhouse as a partner in the Property, Infrastructure and Development group in March of 2009, upon returning to Adelaide from London, where he was a partner at the specialist construction firm, Shadbolts. For the past 15 years, Philip has specialised in Construction, Infrastructure and Major Projects work and in London practised in the International Dispute Resolution group.
Philip has conducted International Arbitrations, Dispute Adjudication Boards, and Mediations throughout numerous jurisdictions in Europe and America as well as Construction Litigation in the London Technology and Construction Court. Within the UK, a significant portion of his practice related to dispute resolution, contract advice and management and the negotiation and documentation of Public Private Partnership projects.
Philip's practice at Norman Waterhouse focuses on timely and creative advice on alternative public infrastructure procurement strategies, contract structures and advice to public bodies in relation to Probity and Governance issues, contract management and dispute avoidance. Philip also acts for the private sector, with particular emphasis on construction, commercial projects and dispute resolution.
