Shannon heads the Norman Waterhouse Financial Services Team. He specialises in advising and representing financial institutions and general insurers, but his reputation as an expert on legal compliance has led to him advising a wide variety of businesses and institutions on compliance related issues. Shannon also undertakes transactional work and litigation arising from the provision of financial services.

Shannon has practiced for over 25 years, and during that time he has:

• Assisted many businesses and institutions with the development and maintenance of their legal compliance programs;

• Been the principal external legal advisor to many financial institutions;

• Practiced as both a barrister and a solicitor – he regularly appears in court applications, trials and appeals on behalf of clients.

• Assisted clients with the development of compliant advertising materials, terms of trade and a wide variety of template documents used by financial services providers.

Shannon is a Graduate of the Company Directors Course conducted by the Australian Institute of Company Directors
