Clerkships

Norman’s Summer Clerkship Program 2012

Dates 19 November – 14 December 2012

Each summer Norman Waterhouse holds a four week paid clerkship for enthusiastic and well-rounded final and penultimate year law students in Adelaide. We take great care to select the most suitable candidates as the clerkship may lead to further employment opportunities.

As a successful candidate you will find our clerkship program particularly valuable because it allows you to focus on your preferred area of practice or gain experience in a range of areas, helping you to decide on your future career direction.

Depending on your area of practice, you will gain experience in:

  • drafting letters of advice
  • undertaking research
  • attending client interviews
  • attending firm meetings and events.
You may also be given the opportunity to observe attendances at court and other pre-trial processes, such as mediation conferences and directions hearings.

For further insight on student experiences of short term placements at Normans, see the Testimonial section under Working at Normans.
