Governance & Regulatory Master Class

Time Session
9:30 am – 10:00 am

Registration starts at 9.30am for a 10.00am start

Following great feedback from our seminar last year, our interactive Governance and Regulatory Master Class will again immerse you in the local government decision making process from beginning to end.

The format is again an all-day interactive seminar covering a broad range of themes, with an emphasis upon what we see as the new and emerging issues facing local government in the governance and regulatory area. New public interest disclosure requirements (including their impact upon investigations), surveillance devices, enforcement tools, internal reviews of decisions and bias will all feature as the day unfolds.

You and other attendees from councils across the State will be asked to work together to solve problems which we have developed from real-life situations. Documents and information will be provided to participants throughout the day as our scenario develops.

We are also pleased to welcome guest speaker Dr Matthew Butlin, Chair of the South Australian Productivity Commission. It will be a privilege to hear directly from Dr Butlin regarding the Inquiry into local government costs and efficiency.
