Alexandra was admitted to practise as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in March 2018, after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice with Honours at Flinders University.
Alexandra was inspired to undertake a career in family law during her undergraduate studies when she wrote her honours thesis on the topic of the Family Court of Australia’s involvement in medical decision making for children diagnosed with gender dysphoria.
Prior to joining Norman Waterhouse in 2019, Alexandra was employed by a government funded firm where she provided assistance to financially disadvantaged persons with respect to a broad range of legal areas including the area of family law.
Since joining Norman Waterhouse, Alexandra has worked closely with our senior solicitors and predominantly with one of our family law principals, Elissa Riach. As a result, she has gained considerable experience in all aspects of family law.
Alexandra understands that a breakdown of the family unit is often one of life’s most difficult experiences. Alexandra takes an empathetic and sensible approach to assisting our clients in the resolution of their family law matters. She prides herself on her attention to detail and her ability to provide realistic advice.
