About Tom

Tom joined Norman Waterhouse in 2023 after working as a Judge’s Associate at the District Court of South Australia for 18 months. Since joining the firm, Tom has worked closely with Stephen Williams and Vas Marinos, assisting in a range of disputes involving local councils, large businesses, and private sector parties.

In 2020, Tom completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Journalism and Professional Writing at the University of South Australia. He was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia in March 2021.

At the District Court, Tom worked alongside some of South Australia’s leading civil and criminal legal minds including his Honour Judge Burnett, his Honour Judge Slattery and her Honour Judge Davison. Tom assisted the Judges with various short notice matters, civil and criminal trials, civil mediations and criminal sentences.

Passionate about achieving timely and desirable outcomes for his clients, Tom prides himself on his civil litigation expertise, writing proficiency and ability to work with others.

He is renowned for his ability to simplify complex legal issues and find practical solutions for his clients, helping them reach beneficial settlements and avoid the financial and psychological stresses of trial.

In addition to his legal work, Tom has had impressive experiences in the sports media industry. His highlights include working as a Producer on the ‘Tokyo 2020’ Olympics, 2021 AFL Grand Final and 2022 Boxing Day Test.
