Our approach

We have the experience, capability and resources to deal with a range of legal issues related to bilateral trade, commerce, foreign investment and migration.

Our people have advised on many issues including ventures in aquaculture, agriculture, property development, general import and export, investments in food processing, electronics, electrical switchgear, interior design, textiles and software.

Our International Business team has an in-depth association with the Asia Pacific region, particularly China, Malaysia and Indonesia, where several of our practitioners have lived, studied and worked.

We have special expertise in Chinese and Indonesian business practice and strong experience in foreign investment law, corporate structuring and business migration. As leaders in the Australia China Business Council, our practitioners regularly participate in business delegations to China and present at bi-lateral business forums.

Our team includes four registered migration agents who are also lawyers and we enjoy a business relationship with specialist advisers, including associates who are Chinese nationals trained in business and accountancy. Because of the high calibre of Asian executives interested in migrating to Australia, candidates represent a real opportunity to the Australian economy.

We work with the Australian and State Governments, successful Asian executives and local businesses committed to increasing commercial activity in Australia.

We provide a comprehensive package of legal and business advice to our clients in the language of the region.
