About Daniel

Before commencing his legal career, Daniel completed a Bachelor of Science (Mineral Geoscience) and an Honours degree in Geology at the University of Adelaide and worked for a number of years as a geologist in the mining industry.

Daniel’s experience as a geologist covers a diverse range of commodities, projects and mining methods, and includes six and a half years with one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resource companies.

Daniel subsequently completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Adelaide in 2024, where he was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for the Completion of the LLB with Distinction.

Daniel joined Norman Waterhouse Lawyers as a Legal Administrator in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team in 2024, transitioning to a Solicitor role in 2025 following his admission to practice. He provides strategic advice and transactional support to private and public sector clients, particularly in commercial, property and infrastructure projects and transactions.

Daniel’s background in geology and law is complemented by his strong Mandarin Chinese language skills, having previously studied at Tsinghua University and Renmin University of China in Beijing.
