About Taara

Taara joined the Norman Waterhouse team in 2018 and has quickly become an integral part of the Property and Commercial team. Taara also works closely with our Native Title and Resources team and our Local Government team.

Taara was admitted to practice in early 2005. She then took up a position with the Crown Solicitor’s Office where she worked in the Native Title Section, and later in the Commercial, Environment and Native Title section for over 13 years.

During her time with the Crown Solicitor’s Office Taara has undertaken several in-house secondments within Government agencies, providing advice on administrative and legal processes and complex policy issues for land transactions and agreements involving native title and Aboriginal heritage issues. Taara has been involved in the negotiation and settlement of numerous native title claims around the State and has worked extensively with Local and State Government as well as Aboriginal organisations, industry and community groups to achieve sustainable community outcomes.
