Congratulations to Gavin Leydon on his appointment as a member of the South Australian Heritage Council.
In addition to considering the entry of places in the South Australian Heritage Register, it is anticipated over the term of the Heritage Council that advice will be provided to David Speirs MP, Minister for Environment and Water, on the formulation of strategic heritage policy and priorities to be realised in the next three years. These are likely to include supporting the implementation of the heritage tourism strategy, activating heritage through tourism & job growth initiatives, heritage policy reform and increasing community engagement around heritage protection.
