Dog & Cat Management Board Training
Norman Waterhouse / LGA Training
Build Your Legislative and Investigative Capability with Confidence
LGA Training, in collaboration with Norman Waterhouse Lawyers, offers a comprehensive suite of 10 professional development sessions formally approved by the Dog and Cat Management Board.
These sessions are aligned with the Board’s latest learning framework and support compliance with the required units of competency in the following three components:
- Legislative Interpretation and Application
- Evidence Gathering and Investigations
- Professional Conduct and Interpersonal Skills
Whether delivered in person or via Live Virtual Classroom (LVC), these sessions are designed to equip authorised officers with the legal knowledge and investigative skills they need to meet the standards outlined in the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995.
By completing all 10 sessions, officers will meet the Board’s full competency requirements, ensuring they are confident and compliant in their role. The Dog and Cat Management Board recommends that all competencies be completed and signed off within six months of an officer’s appointment by the Council’s Chief Executive Officer.
We are committed to providing practical, accessible, and future-focused training that supports the ongoing development of local government staff. This program will be launched in August 2025.
